No matter the business type, any form of a sales position is going to require organizing the selling goals for the company but keeping the budget in mind. A sales manager is in charge of encouraging employees towards making the selling goals. Sales associates interact with customers the most and will be the person who gets them to the point-of-sale. Managers also help sales associates with making individual sales.
The minimum educational requirements for any sales position is a high school diploma. Higher level sales positions can even start with this requirement, but will probably ask for on-the-job experience. Since all sales positions involve working with customers in various situations it is critical to have good customer service skills such as being approachable, remembering specific customer interests, organizing, keeping sales goals in mind, and scheduling.
