Marketing has a long list of job duties that are needed on an everyday basis. Marketing executives are in charge of networking with customers and prospective customers through the use of marketing materials, emails, websites, and verbal communication. They also research and generate leads to possible sponsorships for the company. Attending company events, seminars, and conferences are also a very large part of being a marketing executive.
The marketing filed requires at least a bachelor’s degree. For better chances at getting a position, a secondary marketing training program degree would help. The skills that are needed for marketing are numerous because of the different settings that this position falls into. The main skills are creativity, organization, time management, multitasking, ability to work well under pressure, teamwork, technologically savvy, exceptional negotiation skills, and excellent written and oral skills.
