Named as one of Fortune’s top 100 companies to work for, Aeropostale is an American apparel company. With very large demographic competitors, Aeropostale has still managed to build a large presence for themselves, despite taking losses over the past few years. As they slowly grow their presence, with over 1000 stores in North America, Aeropostale has successfully ran charitable marketing campaigns and rev-share strategies to continually keep their name in the malls.
Aeropostale, like many clothing retailers, appreciates their sales reps to wear clothing similar to that sold in store. With a strategy slightly different than other apparel outlets, Aeropostale designs, sources, markets and sells their own propriety merchandise. This being said, it’s a great place to work if any of those are the end goal of a prospective employer. As with any customer service job, courteous demeanor as well as basic skills are evaluated. Many of the interview questions are centered on resolving conflict, either with a customer or with another employee. Additionally, a drug test and a background check may be required for employment.
