Account Managers are responsible for a number of clients who are assigned to them through their portfolio. Communicating with customers and shareholders is a key responsibility in order to produce positive solutions to issues. The responsibilities will include primarily customer service, networking, and efficient problem solving.
Employers will generally seek out candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in business, but having a master’s in business is considered having a distinct advantage. Being able to handle strenuous situations and solve problems quickly and effectively is necessary. To go along with problem solving, negotiating between customers will be an everyday task that will need to be handled professionally. Since there are usually several tasks that will be carried out simultaneously, the ability to multitask is a necessity.
