About Shipping Careers

Shipment clerks and associates are responsible for performing a variety of shipping and receiving tasks, including sorting items and preparing them for shipment. They work closely with couriers, ensuring the fast and effective delivery of items to their destinations. Oftentimes these jobs are located in large warehouses with shipments constantly being received and shipped out.

What to Expect

Shipment personnel are required to have at least a high school diploma or GED and some experience working in a related field. They should be physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy boxes. Some positions may require additional certifications, such as being licensed to operate a forklift. Because shipments are coming and going around the clock, shipment personnel have a highly flexible schedule and can work at any hour of the day.
