About Sam's Club Careers

Sam’s Club was founded by Walmart owner and founder, Sam Walton, in 1983 as an American membership-only retail chain. It now operates more than 600 membership warehouse clubs across the United States. This warehouse club sells most of its merchandise in bulk, offering customers discounts for buying large amounts of food at one time.

What to Expect When Interviewing

Positions available at Sam’s Club range from hourly cashiers to store managers, with salaries ranging from $40,000 to $80,000 per year. All positions require a high school diploma or GED and a complete background check. For hourly positions, such as cashiers and department associates, expect an in-person interview with a Manager or Assistant Manager following your application online. Expect generic interview questions that you have had at previous interviews. For management positions, a series of in-person and over-the-phone interviews with various levels of executives are required. After a face-to-face interview, you should receive a phone call within a week and an offer.
