The area of production carries a long list of duties. The main list involves starting up and stopping equipment used in production, cleaning production areas, moving equipment around as needed, check for any equipment that is damaged, and enforce safety guidelines. The overall work encompasses that those involved in production need to be sure to keep machinery running in perfect condition.

What to Expect

The minimum requirement for working in production is to have at least a high school diploma. A GED is also accepted for this line of work, although if the equipment will be more advanced, a bachelor’s degree may be necessary. Understanding the rules and regulations of the industry is a must. Because of constant lifting of machinery and equipment, having good physical strength is required. Bookwork is also important so skills in organization are essential.
