The main position for the staffing field is a staffing coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for creating job postings in order to bring in resumes. Their goals are to find and keep the right employees for specific job roles. Coordinators also read through resumes, schedule interviews, and decide which applicants are a good fit.
A bachelor’s degree with either a concentration in human resources or a business degree with core classes of human resources is required for most positions. For higher level companies degrees that focus solely on human resources are necessary. Some of the more important skills that are needed for this job are great organization skills, an ability to work with short deadlines, time management, a friendly but stern personality, good written and verbal communication, and problem solving.
