Seasonal workers are usually hired because of a need for extra help in meeting demands or meeting deadlines. Retail is the main job that involves seasonal workers. These workers will help with putting out stock, assisting customers on the sales floor, office work, or helping out cashiers during a particular busy hour.
Because of the varying job options, seasonal workers education requirements vary. For basic seasonal work in retail, there are no educational requirements. Higher positions will require at least a high school diploma. Since the job duties can vary from day-to-day, having skills in time management, keeping to a schedule, multitasking, organization, a great personality, and trustworthiness are critical. Sometimes a chaotic schedule with long hours will come about so being able to work long hours and staying alert is definitely a plus.
