Packers are involved with a number of details to packing items for shipment or delivery. Every item that is to be packaged must be prepped for shipment. This includes wrapping items in bubble wrap or placing them in other containers. Using a set of specified instructions, Packer will prepare packages and tape them up accordingly. Another duty is to label each package as necessary.
A minimum of a high school diploma is needed for this job, but certain skills will need to be shown. By dealing with various packages, it will be necessary to have skills in organizing, cleaning, basic mathematics, storing items, handling fragile items, reading labels, and team work. A huge part of this type of work requires an exceptional ability to follow precise instructions when it comes to how to prepare, label, and ship out packages.
