What to Expect When Interviewing

The overwhelming majority of applicants that interview for a position at Home Depot report a positive interview experience. Potential employees can expect a fairly straightforward interview process consisting of a face-to-face interview with a store manager, in which standard interview questions are posed. An example might include a question such as, "If you saw a friend stealing, what would you do?" Potential employees can apply online or in person. Those applying for managerial positions may find a more rigorous interview process that may include a panel interview or a skills test. Applicants who are offered positions may need to complete a drug test and submit to a background check.

Assistant Store Manager

Assistant Store Managers in Training is about learning the various responsibilities and functions of the following roles:  Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager.  At a high level, ASM’s in Training will learn how to support the Store Manager in developing strategies and objectives toward driving store sales and profitability.  You will learn how to accomplish these objectives through effective leadership of and communication to your Associates.

Installation Services Manager

The Installation Services Manager (ISM) is a critical role in the Home Services organization at The Home Depot.  ISMs cover up to 3 districts based on geography.  Your primary responsibilities are to drive quality and customer service through management of the relationship with Service Providers (installer companies) bases on geographic location, relative skills and capabilities, ensuring store connectivity and driving Issue Resolution as it is related to Home Depot's Installation services.

Merchant Assistant

The Merchant Assistant serves as point of contact for stores and vendors in regards to the ordering and delivering of products; you will serve as point of contact between DSM, GPM, and GPM Assistant; work closely with Atlanta merchandising staff to gain an understanding of strategic decisions to facilitate information sharing with the stores; partner with GPM and GPM Assistants to resolve store and vendor issues. Administrative Support for DSM; perform clerical duties.

Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative's role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence and customer expectations.  This position is directly responsible for creating, maintaining and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers on a daily basis during sales and product inquiry transactions. This position is also directly responsible for meeting and/or exceeding sales, individual call quality and various related department goals.
