Chick-Fil-A, originally operated under the restaurant name Dwarf Grill, has seen an intense expansion across the USA within the last five years. When their flagship sandwich was created in 1961, they opened up a separate Chick-Fil-A chain and began expanded stores throughout the South. Unlike many other restaurant companies, there is no true franchise opportunity, but rather a franchise-operating system, which allows owners a smaller upfront cost, maintain a salary but while still allowing Chick-Fil-A to maintain ownership.
As with any customer service job, courteous demeanor as well as basic skills are evaluated. Many of the interview questions are centered on resolving conflict, either with a customer or with another employee. Additionally, a drug test and a background check may be required for employment.
