With over 1000 locations nationwide and the liquidation of many competitors during the rough economic period, Bed Bath & Beyond is part of the Fortune 500 and has very little competition except for mid-sized or luxury retail stores. While they started with selling merchandise for the bedroom and bathroom, they have branched out and now sell products for nearly every room in a typical home, as well as novelty and “as seen on TV” items.
