Whether it is in business, finance, or data, the job of an analyst is an important tool to any company. Researching and putting together figures of the company sales is the job of a business analyst. Coming up with current sales figures, comparing them with past figures, and creating a future outlook for the company budget is what a finance analyst does. Looking into logistics, marketing tools, and finance situations of a company are the responsibilities of a data analyst.
A bachelor’s degree is usually what is needed to enter into an analyst field. For higher levels a master’s degree will be needed. Since there is a wide range of job duties for this position, there are numerous skills that will be needed. Because of working with figures and creating reports, skills in mathematics, organizing, scheduling, verbal and written communication, creative thinking, and problem solving are a plus.
